I've known all month that this July has been wetter and cooler than normal here in Arkansas. We had rain, hard rain most of the day yesterday.

Heat Wave 07/29/09

We set all time high temps today in the Seattle area. Officially 103. Still 89 at 11pm. To add to the fun we lost power between 9:30 and 11:30pm. The little air conditioner is working overtime.

This is the picture of the 2 day old lamb I got to see a week ago this past Sat. Daryl couldn't believe it was 2 days old because it looks so big already. The baby wouldn't turn around to look at the camera so Emma waited to take this at the best angle.

James Roderick Riggen 07/26/09

Here is the newest addition to the Riggen family. Matt and his wife, Jaime, welcomed James Roderick Riggen into our world Wednesday July 22, 2009. He weighed in at 8 pounds 9 ounces, 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing wonderful!! In the picture, the white haired 'gramma' is James Great Gramma Riggen.

Candy had her side leg bolt out yesterday and she did just fine. It had backed out of the hip ball 1 1/4" and was out in the meat of the side of her hip.

went for a sleep apnea test yesterday. Before I left home, I had to make sure my hair was CLEAN, with no conditioner and no makeup or moisturizer. They want your face and head clean so the "stuff" will stick to your skin.

A New Fence 07/15/09

My neighbors in the back are finally replacing the old fence. It sure looks a lot nicer. Problem with today is the heat! It's been 95 today with a heat index of 110! It doesn't look like they got very much done today, but keep in mind just the son was out there working most of the day. When Dad got home, he came out and helped him put the new boards up. After it's all up, I am going to put some weather proofer on our side of the fence.
